A zip code may make a difference in an urban area with heavy commute issues, but Niagara Falls, which is a posted position, can easily be handled by a Buffalo, NY based rep. No need to make someone move for that. I know people that are good reps that are losing their jobs because of crap like this.

That is correct every job is tied to a few

Zip codes you are eligible unless you reside in those zip codes. An extremely poor system when you are drawing line between keeping good employees or making them move even if they are less that 10 miles from an approved zip code

My take is that there were 50 positions that were offered and rejected. The company had created new territories and would have required the employee to live in that territory. If someone decided to reject their offer the next step would be to post the position and let all employees compete for it. Just a hunch.
