All these failing university administration, making tons of money, and getting us to this level of hell, are now running scared.
Plan A.
So you wanted to be a big shot and get that terminal degree with all the respect and pomp and circumstance that goes with it.
You dreamt that one day you'd stand behind a lectern pontificating to your naive accolytes, while toeing the party line and lauding the benefits of higher education, (especially the for-profit kind) as a remedy for all the evils of the world, both social and financial.
Who could disagree?
You revelled in the rock-star-like attention as the students raised their arms vying for your legitimizing appobation while coyly and obsequiously addressing you as doctor (much better than the usual "hey you,"no doubt ) while you engaged them in feverish Socratic discourse, (even on-line no less)
But now you feel you are adrift. Lost in a sea of uncertaincy and confusion. All the hard work and endless hours of study and spent treasure all for so little return.
But there is hope.
Plan B: Sit tight. Continue the self flaggelation and see what happens.
Critical thinking be damned!
