Xiaomi has been using multiple chip vendors for years.
It's not about good chipset
The problem is there are lot of good enough chipsets for oems to consider
Qcom is not the only provider of wireless chipset
There are many other who are good enough
The news article you reference is 1 month old. Since then digitimes has confirmed that 720 snapdragon is gonna kick mediateks p60's rear end into Oblivion. Please try to stay up to date OP.
