Our MSS won't be going anywhere. She tries to run the club. She already does PTC's job. Took over schedules. Our GM depends on her to take care of many things. So she is in the office every day calling the shots.

Every day. All day.

Like the earlier, more than one person and they appear to be communicating with each other? You better find something to do.

But two associates in other areas shooting the breeze? Talk all day.

The desk has to have a base knowledge of the entire floor, be willing to help as much as possible ANYwhere, take cake orders, answer questions or take messages when other areas choose not to respond, etc. but for other areas to be held accountable for refund policies of their items and have a working knowledge of membership, HAHAHAHAHAHA.

At our club, if there are two or more associates at the desk one either goes out to do credit, give breaks, zone, or asked to do something else. If we're busy, we are pretty much left alone, but don't stand around or you'll be zapped to another area. If we radio for help, lots comes. Everyone from managers to COS's to electronics. Luckily my club is full of a bunch a nice, helpful, hardworking people. I know it isn't like that at other clubs.

Our MSS sits in the office all day. Very unlikely she would come to help at the desk or front end.

Lol sounds like my club. Took about 2 years to finally hire and retain a constant staffing at the returns desk and now they are being asked to help out either up front, at the door, or at the club pickup counter. Of course their response is "I'm all alone here with 10 people in line" cause having 4 returns desk people at once still isn't enough to handle it all during the day
