Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

I got laid off 5/2

So i got laid off. Can anyone advise me on what’s the best option in regards to the package? Installments or lump sum? Any information would be helpful . Thanks!

After careful review of the package I took the lump sum. Only because I have health coverage through spouses employment. I was with the bank for about 13 years I was recently at the Chandler site. Parking lot looks empty.

Read the severance packet they gave you. There’s a lot of valuable info and resources.

i'd take installments, it will be like still working but not working. 3 people on my team got it this morning between 9 and 9:30. we were hit really hard because our team was 8 and 5 people.

And you get continued health benefits during your severance if you choose installments

Go installment, lump sum could get hit with more tax withholding
