Ginni just sent an internal blast with IBM's new slogan "Let's Put Smart to Work" with a big picture of a set of pipelines. How stupid. They're getting ready to pitch this to investors and at the big Think conference next week.
This fits the logic now as to why they're doing this big layoff before the conference. They're going to go there and lay out this new vision to customers - self-service, no more annoying IBM sales/tech sales people bothering you. Now it all makes sense.
She's so clueless she and her marketing people don't 'get' that a pipeline is a very negative image to a lot of people. Buckle up, it's definitely happening this week.
