In all of these rumor mill posts there is one common thing... they are started by employees that are not happy at Ge and other unhappy employees jump in...to this I ask why stick around? If ge s---s so much and is going down hill why stay?
These are the people that should be leaving instead of the people being forced out.

People who are well qualified and within right age range are leaving or will be leaving. Most of the whiners are old above 55, probably cant find another job.
@ehd you make a great point. The two steps forward, one step back chaotic management style does make a person quick on their feet.
@mvg You obviously never worked at GE. I was there 17 years. It wasn't an easy place to work, even back in the day. The pace of work and the demands from leadership was chaotic. The amount of change was head spinning. Myself and other ex-GE colleagues who have moved on to other companies find that our experience at GE had set us up to be successful at other companies. You get used to the pace, constant change as well as the structured operating rhythm. When you start at another company that doesn't move as fast you look like a rockstar.
I think people stay because they are fearful of working outside the company... be honest ge has been a great place to work it is a place that you could literally do nothing and be ok hahaha. Outside ge in the “real world” most of the ge people wouldnt last a week.
I stick around because I find it entertaining to watch the slide downhill. If a company thinks it's ok to f--- employees then they should accept it if the reverse happens. To get your own back is very sweet indeed.
If anyone should leave it’s the top management that is cashing out while making the place a stink hole for everyone else.
