Im not one for unions either but things have gotten so crappy and we've gotten so much taken away and not much in return that i would welcome it. At least to keep what we have and stop the bleeding. Every year we lose more and more. And we've only been altice not even 2 years.

The only time management ever listens to the techs is with a union threat, weird right? So why wouldn't we want to go union at this point? Everyone knows this will never be Cablevision again but Altice is only about "the investors" or dare I say the owner. We just want fair treatment not bare minimal.
Its really sad. Nobody in this place is happy. All the techs are over worked and stressed out. Especially with this ftth build. Even most supervisors and managers are but they just play the role and try to keep their game face on until they find something else and jump ship.

It's deja vu all over again. Ever wonder why these union guys seem desperate to unionize you? They don't care about you anymore than BK, or PH. Something stinks of desperate opportunity for these mobsters. All i can say is all of you chasing your tails.

If you were half the men you claim to be you would've made moves a long time ago to better your life with or without union. Instead you point fingers for your failures, while waiting for some poor schmuck to stick his neck out for. Union meanwhile makes zero effort to keep you united that's too much work. They want you to do it all on your own. They support yoiu alright but only if you do all the work. They are like that guy soothing your girlfriend acting like a friend when all they want is what's in her jeans.

Let me tell you how that meeting is gonna go. BK is gonna pace back and forth using his sympathetic tone. He may even bring PH with him. He’s going to write down all of your concerns on a big board. It’s almost adorable how much he “understands” you and will be bringing all of these issues to the CEO. At the end BK will say we should meet up again next week and work on improvements. That’s the point, they don’t want us talking to each other. And when you look through the posts on this site all you see is animosity between service, OSP, construction, and ftth. If that keeps up they win. It needs to be all of us, shoulder to shoulder. A house divided can not stand.

There were never any reps at our depot. Considering we only get 15 minute depots and 1/2 the shop never seen one another, it's not going to happen. There's too many moles acting the part
