Walmart grocery Mgr just informed me of their new binning system for CAO. We bin our product just like any of their stuff and it will be scanned before it leaves to be stocked on the shelf. Store has received DSD specific handhelds but have not gone through training on it yet.

Our sales manager told us today that kroger is going to see CAO in July but we will still service them and the product will still come on our trucks

Sad, but all true. Dirk is no stranger to big changes. Like the last guy said, do a little research and it won’t take you long to get the information you need. WM going CAO, losing endcap fixtures, new POGs, Kroger in the talks of CAO. I see this ending like an All State commercial, Dirk being Mr. Mayhem. Their is no telling when. But the end is nearing. Their restructuring plan started in 2014 if memory serves me correctly and ends in 2018. Read between the lines and connect the dots folks. Good Luck!
If you can read....try educating yourself on mondelez and its financial position. You don't have to look far to see we are in trouble, new CEO and earnings and share way down from where they were predicted to be. Irene stepped aside and usually that's as strong indication of problems. Stock not performing well. All red flags. How many people have been terminated in last 24 months? Now ask yourself if mondelez may have some problems? We are certainly not too big to exempt from change, nor are we about to pioneer and new dsd for the world. Wrong! Dsd is over!

Lol, and I've got a bridge to sell you!! Don't be so naive. DSD is ending and they don't want everyone to quit since we are committed to service accounts to the end. Keebler told their people months in advance but offered retention bonuses to pt help so they would stay. Our cheap a-- company won't be so kind so they are beefing up the pt help so when people quit they have some in reserve. Only ft people will get severance. WM goes cao end of April. 60 days required by law for notification. Your manager doesn't have much respect for you if he can look at you and lie directly in your face! You'll find out soon! Be smarter than that!
I've been told by several of our management and a Kroger account manager we are only going CAO. We will still service the stores and up-sell. They will handle the shelf ordering their system. Product is also coming in on our trucks as they do now. Sales routes will probably get adjusted and a few reps may lose their positions.
Accounts don't know, just smart enough to read between the lines. They laugh when I tell them it's still coming on our trucks, "yeah, for how long". Anyone fool can see the direction this is going! Educate yourself! We promised shareholder a 7% growth when mondelez was created, barely hit 1% most years and not into negative numbers! And that's after cutting 10's of thousand of jobs and moving bakery to Mexico where employees make pathetic third world wages! Only thing left is eliminating dsd.
I don’t disagree, DSD is a loser and an exit is imminent. I don’t think accounts are clued in though. That type of information can be used financially and wouldn’t be divulged to anyone other than a handful of people until a major public announcement was made.

Exactly. We were told at our Rally Meeting that we would have a conference call in March about the upcoming Walmart changes. They do not want any negativity during this Quarter Close before they release any news. Conference call has been pushed to April from what our RMS told me last week. Wonder if they will say anything about Kroger. Our Kroger Account Manager has told us Kroger will go around June and it will come on their trucks and not ours. Not sounding good for a lot of people as Routes will get re-worked.

DSD makes too much money? Look at the numbers, they are out there for all to see. No cost. Easy to see why we are exiting DSD. Big money loser here in the U.S. All profits are made in emerging markets. India, middle east, china, south america. Sales will only continue to decline. People are eating healthier and can buy a pack of cookies from our competitor for a buck cheaper. Doesn't matter how much back stock we stuff the back room with.

They don't know more than us, upper management at WM and Kroger and all retail accounts for that matter, are all held to a confidentiality agreement so it is not being shared yet. Store managers and grocery managers are just smart enough to read between the lines, something that choose not to do! It is painfully obvious what direction this is going. No, we are not creating a new DSD, we are in NO position to be risk takers. They need to get the business back on track and we k is they are looking to cut lots of money from the budget. You think WM is going to pay for us to merchandise? When they order? Be for real! Done and done!

The previously mentioned Walmart grocery mgr definitely made it seem like we were helping with a transition out of DSD rather than a different way of doing DSD. Still in early stages though, mgr didn’t know the full picture yet.
