Several stores in my district are reporting expedited training in order to have department supervisors ready to carry keys within the next month or two. They’re also wanting them signed off on the operations modules. Is this just an isolated instance or is this common? I know a lot of other ASMs are worried and my SM hasn’t said anything and claims to know nothing.

Wake up get the cover off your head, your exactly what BBB likes, someone who believes the crap they are selling! Yes the ASM’s are going away, right to the parking lot minus their keys and badge. They aren’t going to pay you high salary when they can pay a DS nothing and they can monitor and use as mules!
In my opinion the writing it on the wall. Why do you need 8 key carriers ? Unless you don’t have 8, you have a Sm, Ops, and hourly leads a keys. Bbby is trying to mirror their structure with other companies who do it similar. Except bbby doesn’t have the time management skills down for that. If you stay you are going to be thrown into a sea of dept managers from all these companies being dumped. Get away now.
They're doing that in my district in California. They're really pushing the supervisors to finish everything as soon as possible. I'm usually very intuitive, and Ive seen a change in the attitude of district and regional staff towards ASMs. Also, they're closely managing keyholders' performance on getting Beyond Store orders. Write ups for those who don't meet the minimum for the week. Telling signs of something big to come. Already have my resume out there and currently interviewing for other companies. Here comes the rumor mill again... rolling eyes For what it’s worth, the same is happening in the Houston area - a sudden emphasis on training the DS on the force and operations. There’s no mass layoff coming, just have to train to help grow the Company.
Got to get those low paid dept supervisors ready to go so they can let those high paid ASM’s out on the street! Yes it’s true, we all know that here in Union, we are just laying low, watching, listening and reading everything that we see! Most of the ASM’s throughout the country will be gone!
Of course your SM knows nothing, he’s lying and if he’s not he’s getting let go too, out of the loop!
