So it looks like if you got fired BN is now outsourcing your position to something called Premium Retail Services. Guessing this will expand to other parts of the store in the coming months.

PRS (Premium Retail Services) will be used more in stores very soon. Also, more reduction in staff. They will save more by using this company and reducing staff to part-timers only. They don't have pay PRS health benefits.

This is true. Right after my lay off as a lead in Music/DVD this company came in and did the changeover. Employees contacted me and said they did the worst job. Putting stickers in wrong corners of product and wiping out product on New Release display to fill other endcaps and gondolas. Then they just left removed product in piles on carts for part time employees to shelve. So, ho does that extra work of correcting what they did wrong (since they have no B&N experience) and their leaving product to re-shelve allow the B&N worker EXTRA TIME to help customers Mind you, I was told by an employee that PRS were watched by a store manager and someone from Music division from corporate. Did they tell them the mistakes they were doing? No. They chatted to each other. So, lay off experienced people who can do that job efficiently and pay another company. This is why Barnes & Noble is going to be getting rid of the rest of the remaining full-timers by year's end. This is, also, why this company is going to slowly die. Bad decisions.

how is that exactly? they come in and complete changeover, a task a lead would be doing, so booksellers can focus on "selling and customer engagement". part time booksellers can focus on selling while merchandising goes to a third party company. riiiiight. and you're trying to tell me this isn't something that will expand to other parts of the store? give me a f---ing break.
