Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Yay! We weren't taken over by Broadcom!

Barely a week later and those declaring victory over Broadcom are already eating crow. Let's see how China retaliates against Trump's tariffs, with QC and other companies as a prime target.

Why buy QC when you can, oh I dunno, ban them? Restrict their business? Hit them with a crippling tax? China has an endless assortment of weapons it can use against QC.

Too bad 95% of you are utterly clueless of what's REALLY going on in the world.

What do you know about national security considerations, little man browsing layoff rumors junk?

Calling everyone stupid and corrupt around you while being nailed on the qualcomm stock price so much, you didn't even notice that you accused someone of only being interested in his job and being shortsighted, while he clearly mentioned national security comes first and nothing else matters.

You are the one being shortsighted by the q stock price. You probably kept all your grants forever since, bought it high and paid taxes and now you're in a loss, loser.

Go work at BC and have Hawk pump up the stock price up your a$s.

National security had nothing whatsoever to do with what happened with BC.

Companies don't have nationalities, and it doesn't matter where your's has it's PO box, which is what SM said in so many words at the last all-hands. So whats changed his mind in the last 3 months? It wasn't "national security" it was SM's job security.

I get that you're happy that now BC isn't going to take your job away in a buyout but that's just selfish, not to mention exceedingly short sighted. The ramifications of what happened and how it occurred are just beginning to reverberate (see the stock market and our stock price today) and I guarentee the consequences, both intentional and unintended, are going to be worse. Get ready for a trade war with China, or a nix'd NXP deal, or a huge fine or any of the other thousand things your ham-handed un-friend Trump's meddling and corruption is going to bring, and all of it will be a negative for QC.

But you can keep your job for another couple of months...yea!

No matter what happens, national security is top priority for the nation survival and future positioning as global leader. Your personal interest too. (No I am not a Trump supporter)
