Just asking. I’ve noticed several employees on this forum taking their anger out on the people they work with. You’re all in this together. I’m just curious as to why a lot of you stay instead of looking for another job?

Because lot of us have coworkers that do very little. We have managers that do nothing. We have laptops that are very underpowered for developing. I could go on....
Many people are looking for jobs elsewhere. It's not always quick or easy to find a new one and most people can't afford to quit to job search. I have personally been looking for 6 weeks. I have had 3 interviews that didn't result in an offer and have a 4th one coming up.
Like many others, I can't exactly afford to go back to what I was making 10 years ago starting over somewhere else so I have to be selective on where I apply. 10 years ago I was single living in a studio apartment. Now I have a spouse and 2 children. Plus of course COL is higher.
Dear “starting over” if it’s a personal choice then why complain? It may not be right but it is what it is. Just hate to see all this anger.
I would argue that this is precisely what leadership wants. Through the use of metrics and huddle boards they can easily shine a light on over and under achievers thus pitting one against the other. You throw in a pinch of anxiety over job changes, and add a dash of stress from trying to meet SLOs and you have a nice recipe for us verses them. In this case, worker vs worker as opposed to worker against leadership. It is very good misdirection on their part.
