Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Severance remained the same

There was talk a while back that Whole Foods would be slashing its severance pay for future layoffs, but according to what we heard about the latest round, that turned out not to be true.

People laid off yesterday are receiving two weeks per year, with 26-years cap, which has always been the case.

It's somewhat comforting to know this, at least to me.

I was off in 2015, I got the same plus they paid an addtl 8 weeks for no notice, not required, but it was a good move on their part. Also was able to keep my healthcare for 6 months too (not cobra). Are yall getting that also? I took a year off. Did my art, chilled. Finally relaxed after years and years of no break, always being called in on. days off or vacation. It was the best I had felt in ages. I ended up in an entirely different field of work due to my experience after that, but it was the best thing I can imagine. It s---ed at first, the fear, the not knowing, but it opened up my world, and for the first time in a decade I was recognized and appreciated for ally effort and passion. Im no longer bitter about being cut, it is what it is. And the world keeps spinning with or without you.
