Because, the layoffs are only PART of what's happening folks. We are in a recession, but your TV anchorman isn't going to tell you that until it's so obvious that your 3 year old knows.

Markets are at near record highs.... you sound like some farm friends of mine who'll b--ch about corn being 40 cents lower than record highs as their yeald is 3x what it was 30 years ago.
