Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

What's your thoughts

Let's show everyone that their just a number and replaceable. We rule with an iron fist and operate our company with fear. Remember those of you who stayed are the best of the best. So that being said if they really have the best managers running these buildings and there have been no improvements what do you think happens next? Another talent review? I'm happy to be gone. I thought moral was bad when I was employed, I could only imagine how it feels now. Thought I'd drop in and say I have found an awesome job. There's much better places to work and we are human beings don't let Big Wal-Mart control you. Don't be afraid to jump! there are good employers out there believe it or not. You would have to be retarded to not start looking for another job. We live in a different world where the internet is used to live our lives. Wal-Mart Sam's Club are you delirious? Just cause you sell fresh doesn't mean Amazon won't destroy you. To my fellow former associates get out while you can I predict lots of abuse it rolls from the top. Once Jon and Gisele realize they f'ed up sh--s gonna start rolling down hill. You deserve better, Run now or feel the wrath...

I agree wholeheartedly, go ahead and apply for these jobs that are posted and get zero response. I actually had a Walmart manager reach out about placement and had to inform him that my application stated “company not interested “. The company doesn’t want you, realize it and move on.

Am most proud to have been with this Co. And am most glad to take my 60 days and severance. To be threatened daily and led by a leash daily. I AM FREE. spending time with my family.

I'm baffled by how the media hasn't latched on to this. Especially after John said in an interview that they would be doing everything they can to place the displaced associates in other roles throughout the company. BS. How many managers have applied for other roles and not even gotten an interview? Now there are MIT positions posted for several markets and yet managers who deserve to keep their employment, will get severance instead. This should be falling to explanations from those that made the decisions of who would be displaced! MM should be in the principals office right now Mr Furhner!

I couldn't agree with you more! What's funny is all the managers I know that got the ax, were actually the good ones! The ones who followed what they were told, and always did the right thing. Good ole John and Giselle made so many huge mistakes. I am so happy that I won't have to see what's next. I took my severance, and oh how wonderful the outside is! I NOW have a great employer. I have tried to tell others the same. Get out while you can. Everyone is too scared at starting over, but what they don't understand is it's going to get harder to find something else the older you get. To those still stuck in the rut, at least get some classes done on the side. Learn a new trade, so when they do cut you (and they will) you will have other options.

So very true. I have a few things lined up but I'm sticking around for a severance pay out. Hopefully we hear something soon.
