Just curious if anyone has started this one or two hours in the office daily or been told when it will start? I was told that next week I will be doing other jobs in the club and one or two hours in the office . They need to tell us what is going to happen other than "your job is probably going to be eliminated".

Asking for a raise for being asked to work in another area, are you serious? What makes you so special? Floor people have to work in all areas of club, helping front end, doing maintenance when there is no maintenance, stocking because night crew can't keep up, helping at the exit and entrance door, helping bring in carts when needed, helping bakery and so on, and so on. So you not wanting to work in another area without a raise, do us a favor and quit. This is exactly why your position is being eliminated. See ya!!!
It doesn't say anywhere in my job description about anything other than clerk responsibilities. I agree, if they start asking more from me that's not receiving I am asking for a raise as well. Know your worth!
Yes, I'm still checking receivers, I have not been told to stop. The only actual instructions I received was regarding emptying the filing cabinets.
As for comparing PTC and Clerk, I can, as I've been both. I prefer receiving. Mostly because Managers will not follow HR policy and I had to handle the messes they made, keep it legal, confidential and care for the associates. In receiving it's important, but it's only merchandise, not a person you're handling. I keep working to the best of my ability, as I'm still being paid!
You seriously can not compare a clerk to a ptc.
Your badge says Sams Club not clerk. Id like to see someone refuse to help another area in my club you would be sent home. Its like full timers saying they are unavailable to work weekends at my club they would be scheduled 3 days a week and when they decided they can work weekneds they would get the 40 hours. If Sams was union yes you would not have to help another area but that will never happen and really can't for the company to stay in business. How many retail companies are actually still in business and are union does anyone know.
Is anyone still checking receivers? I'm still doing the same job except putting it in the box instead of filing it. That paperwork was so vague it is ridiculous.

Insubordination comment thrown out easily because somebody asks a question, that is what is wrong with the company. I think the company is getting a deal with most PTC’s and clerks. You should do some research and find out how much a PTC is valued, most could go out and make double what they are making. The clerks could also go and work for the government with a considerable raise. The managers are the ones whose skill doesn’t translate.
Yes, I was told today my only receiving clerk function left for me to do is pay expense invoices. Other then that, I will be working wherever needed in the club.

you will be it's up to cm ..no real plan they are flying by the seat of their pants till you are all used up after getting everything fixed with the new paperless and vendor scheduling and then be gone.
I'm not leaving the office to help unless they give me a pay raise.
