Dont let the company bully you into doing something unsafe just too finish faster,do your job the correct way and dont cut corners, and theres nothing they can do to you,you are doing your job....if anything you can bring them up on labor charges,if they intimidate you to work in a un safe manner, document everything you do...
No heared they brought in outside consultants ,eff-experts,to tell you how you can do your job faster, not for saftey, they are making alot of good guys into disgruntal workers,
Outside consultants are for safety practices only.
Heared thru the grape vine that the company brought in outside consultants to ride on construction jobs so they can tell you how to do your job faster.thats some balls, what does the union say about that..

So is Christmas......But the difference here is I expect years of Christmasses to be here before 5G if at all
Just Google The Dangers of 5G and you'll see many articles and videos from prominent industry people including scientists calling for a lot more research on these dangers. This is very real and not just a fly in the ointment.
Verizon and AT&T and other cellphone carriers would not want to open themselves up to lawsuits if these dangers are already known as they are.
Fixed 5G
Vz can place an antenna outside on a phone pole...never leaving the right of way and serve the entire building. There are some delays as the industry figures out the mm wave RF piece of the path but it’s coming.
Yup, It is different in NYC, Actually, where we have a row of attached dwellings where one owner on that block can deny a new Verizon fiber cable from being attached to their premise thus denying the entire street.
Now here's the catch....Verizon copper and Verizon FIOS are very different under Title II Verizon would only like to be a Utility with FIOS when it benefits them like right-of-ways. but them claims no utility status when called on regulations.
There's one more factor, These homeowners have lawyered up and are requesting a portion of the profits inside the cable attached to their property that is feeding Verizon customers.
Verizon doesnt care if you get the jobs done or not, they have something up their sleeves......5G
But I thought everything was wonderful if you are in a union. Why not have your union steward a-hole go explain to these people you are union I am sure that will make all the difference in the world. And why are you complaining about people expecting you to do your job the freaking union will make sure you don't get fired. You got clauses don't You? Now just shut up and go sit in your truck some where like always.
1nmq, what's the matter. In your world, combat isn't "real world" enough to you?
@1fry, isn't what you describe a right-of-way, that access cannot legally be denied to? I am not too familiar with areas such as Brooklyn, having spent most of my career in a suburban setting. But, here, we have right-of-way pole runs that can only be accessed by driving onto peoples property. My understanding was that we could not be barred entry to our facilities, and the law was on our side.
Is it different in Brooklyn?
@1nmq, what's your point. Did you want to take the tie?
If not, what's your beef?
Somebody has to do that job and, if you're not willing to, stop the biccching already.
It's tiresome.
I am 50 years old, field tech with a masters degree.
My boss is 26 out of the military no college, no real world experience.
That's correct for all those who don't understand, In parts of the NYC boroughs, you have to with a team of guys literally hand carry a telephone pole and then a reel of cable through someone's apartment/home and hand feed it out an open window to the backyard where Verizon has it's plant. There is no other access.
Homeowners are not keen on that these days especially if they are not Verizon customers in the first place. In the old days, the renter gave way because the Phone Company was a Utility Company. Today they are not renters but owners and Verizon is no longer a Utility company. No surprise, they closed the door in your face when you explain what you need to do.
If you meet 4 hours per dispatch you can win a toaster machine
Record any issues doing your job with your phone for future legal reference.
They dont understand the access problems they have in bklyn and the closed blocks ,nobdy wants you bringing poles and reels of cable thru their homes, and the company blames the guys doing their jobs,so now they bring their hatchet men to check you,so you know now nobody should be doing any extra for them,do your job by the book ,if they want to mess with you..thought this procedure of harassing their workers was over the last time,i guess you cannot change a tigers strips...
I work in Queens and QAR's is a welcome rather than the Sharia Law that has literally engulfed the borough.
In bklyn they point guns at you while u are up the pole and you have to get sat down for not knowing there was a pitbull in subs apartment
Nobody speaks english out there
Transfer to pa
Why isnt fios done in bklyn?
Cause they sold all the garages and the new garage is one block from queens
The prople running the circus are from jersey and dont know nyc.
Verizon doesnt want you to work or serve landline or fios customers
Verizon doesnt understand why 2 years ago there were a thousand troubles. Now there are ten thousand troubles
