Tate’s is small potatoes in the cookie arena. Only regional distribution. How well you think they will sell at WM for $8.99 a bag? First thing Mondelēz should do is make them available in Party Size and offer high interest credit cards so people can buy them and we can make interest while they pay off there cookies.
Only way you will touch a Tate’s cookies is if you get a job working for Acosta when you get let go, when dsd ends. Tate’s is not and will not be a dsd item and will be handled separately to “preserve its reputation”. It’s $8.95 a bag compared to Oreo or C/A at $2.99. How many pallets you want? Watch how fast we kill this poor brand!
“Tate’s will operate as a stand-alone company”. What part of that is going to save your job? They are warehouse and handled by a third party broker, and deal won’t close till end of summer, about when we wind up DSD! Wake up and face reality!
Way too little! Power brand? That’s a joke!
Too little, too late!
