good opportunity for start ups to look into this space - connecting software to infrastrusture, Dell is only struggling because there is nothing for sale on the shelf which already figured this out.
Well MD certainly cut Quest loose pretty quick when he wanted his shiny EMC toy, won't surprise anyone if he starts dumping some or all of that acquisition if he sees another toy to play with.
Yeah Dell is all about their hardware, no clue when it comes to the software they inherited with the buyout. How long will it be until they just cut all the software divisions? Guessing if they can sell them off to bring down that huge debt load they have around the companies neck itwon't be long.
