Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Talk about discouraging

I knew things were bad for people over fifty, but it seems they are worse than I imagined. I guess my stress level over possibly being laid off just skyrocketed.

Hubs are not safe either.... just ask who owns the property... SF does not. (20'ish lease probability with an out for the developer's)

No hub or office is safe. The writing is on the wall.

@T6sq9v0-1sjo - Since they started talking about the hubs the message has been the same, the only facilities that will remain in the end are the 3 hubs and Bloom-bloom. If the job can be done by phone, it will be in one of those places. Sorry.

I started in ACC 20 years ago...and at that time the question was...instead of ALL THESE CLAIM CENTRALS...why not just a giant one? (Or 3)

The writing has been on the wall for literally decades. WAKE UP PEOPLE.

Yeah do yourself a favor and get out. Unless you’re super close to retirement it’s just not worth it. Those metrics set you up to fail and give them a reason to fire you with no blood on their hands. They know what they are doing, don’t think for a second they care about you. This used to be a place where it was hard to get fired from. Now they don’t care.

About four to five years ago they told us all would close eventually and we would have just HQ and three hubs. I was surprised there was any presence in Washington state added to surviving office/hub structure. I thought it might be because all there hubs are in the lower section of America in case of disasters they may want an office up higher on west coast.

10 years would be a bit of a stretch since not one senior exec was in their current position then and Hubs were not even a concept yet, But definitely last 4 or 5 years.

All offices but Hubs and Bloomington will close. Timing depends on ability to get people in place in the Hubs to handle the additional work. Not an if, just a when.

I think they are going to close all offices except hubs n Corp. So all will be gone no matter your age. Matter of time. Appears no relow offers to the hub. Who knows. Wish the'd just tell it and let us make plans accordingly. I think it would actually help the morale.
