Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Have Bank managers been announced and if so is it posted somewhere?

I heard they had selected but didn't see any updates or email go out.

Anyone shocked or upset with their placement? Care to share?

By now.....(monday evening) all bank folks who were impacted should have been told their fate.

Opt ins do get less severance if they are not selected. That’s fact not a rumor. Bank people knew that risk in April.

Because what you want running the show are leftovers. Doesn't seem like the powers that be really thought this through. Or maybe they did...

The time to opt out was in April. For those who opted in what they will be getting are assignments. If they turn those down without getting something in another department they effectively will be resigning.

There have been so many opt outs in Bloomington that most Prof/Tech who chose to stay should get assignments. Can't speak for other locations. They need to keep some experienced people or the Bank would collapse.

I would be surprised if they take anyone who opted in. Rumor has it, if you opted to stay your severance was less. Smart move for SF if they do not take any of the opt ins and save money.

It will probably be another week at least before we see any communication on assignments. MG4 found out Wed, MG3 on Thurs, MG2 &1 on Friday, prof/tech hear their fate on Monday. Then everyone has a week to opt out, and then they'll have to see who is left and fill the opt out spots with the leftovers.
