I heard some layoff packages are starting to roll in RTP? Is it a 2-month out package? Do you know how many will be impacted. My guess is 300. It is a joke they go back and forth on server design/support. No clear headway from the top execs. How can the morale be good now that they decide to keep portion of QDT after showing the axe.

There were guys from India QDT team also opted out voluntarily and looks like it was accepted by India QDT Management team. But after the official announcement on number of cuts from each team all the voluntarily opted people from RTP and Colorado got notified from HR on severance package and relieving date.
But For India team there is no communication from HR to people who have opted to out voluntarily for 2 days .but its been informed them there is no policy in India to opt out and seems that Employee needs to initiate the resignation process by themselves and need to serve the notification period also.
There are bunch of people now in bad situation because of misguided/commitment from management .
Texas and Colorado not included in those numbers
We are at least half the head count. There used to be ~650 in Raleigh. Keep in mind, not everyone who left got a package. Many left voluntarily for other companies while the decision was being drawn out. After all, “Why wait?”
