Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Severance

Walmart, sams club should offer severance to anyone willing to leave their current position. I’d bet they would get a lot of tenured associates. Which in turn they would be able to hire more people per building.

To the last poster. Obviously, you're a short term associate and very, very ignorant. It does make sense. They obviously want the long term associated out due to their higher rate of pay, pto, etc. Companies do this all the time. Ex: G.M. If you can't contribute wisely, go away.

This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Yes sometimes companies have done something similar(early retirements for X amount of year tenure.). But no not going to happen

Because there are a lot of long term associates that would be will to leave with a package, but not will to walk away and loose a potential large amount of money.

Why would a company want to pay employees to quit when the turnover rate is already high?
