Please post any Mortgage Tech layoff updates in this thread. BAC is not the only bank laying off right now, the overall market is not that great.

It's the result of each manager in the long, stretched out hierarchy having his/her say to justify their overblown, fake status in the hierarchy. Thus multiple projects are sustained with the goal of having just one project in the end, but that end will never come as the one "main" project will be totally obsolete by then. For the managers in the hierarchy there is no problem, they will just be shifted around as their duplicate project is terminated, for the developers, they will just be disposed of in the next round of lay-offs. The duplication also justifies the needs for multiple Indian support teams that are totally anal about the smallest issue that they miss the big one's as they hit hard as total "surprises".
Always good to start with GTO, where duplicate and even projects in triplicate do the same functions but are being supported by their own developers and overseas support teams from NYC to Canada, the UK, and India. The overlap is mind boggling.
