Time to reinvent !

Hello, I retired as the owner of a successful retail distribution company several years ago. We generated millions of dollars in sales and supplied the large box stores with top notch service . I decided to come out of retirement and seek part time employment at an AAP. I could see in the first few days a breakdown in the business model . A dated computer system , lack of product mix , and incomplete builds for brake packages became all too common . Customers were turned off by the excuse , we dont have all the parts , but we can get them. Sales were lost because of time management problems in acquiring parts for the DIYS. Wrong product mix is another problem. Shelving , signage and displays were lackluster and didnt have eye appeal. Top management needs to spend a day in each regional store to get in touch with the customer base and competitive pricing solutions.

It's amazing how a business man with some common sense can come in and see what's wrong in a matter of hours and yet we have corporate excutives we are paying millions and they don't have a clue to what's going on. Our CEO and his team of yes men are a bunch of worthless and greedy vulchers,

AAP is too busy patting themselves on the back about employing female executives rather than the service offerings. When you highlight that social victory over your actual services, you are not a strong or growing company.
