Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

I just can't wait for the huge layoffs coming!

Due to 10nm catastrophe and BK's sheer stupidity.

@TKo5dg3-1fnf The factories are little more than monkeys doing what TD tells them. They couldn’t tie their own shoes without direction. New engineers have what little innovation and independence behavior beaten out of them, managers are well trained to bow down and do as TD god demand and can do nothing themselves.

In 2016 there was plenty of backstabbing in the months prior to the layoffs announcement. Sad. Betrayals. Once friends became sell-outs to frame others for their own inadequacies. Good, dedicated, experienced employees set up as scapegoats to save the devious and defiant. Then they hid in their little nooks and crannies until the carnage was over, honestly believing it was the dawn of a "new and improved Intel". Fools. It's that time again. The failures and decline of Intel, perhaps even more detrimental to it's future, are leading to new cost cutting measures. Those that probably should have been gone in 2016 are once again exposed to play their games of defiance and scapegoating. But now the grim reaper may be after them, and there is no escaping his clutches.

It’s TD specifically, the factories do thier jobs. Fire LTD cronies and self proclaimed kings

How to fix?

Step one: clear out the senior management in TMG and LTD

Step two: reset the cultural to be open and transparent both within the organization and from division to division.

Step three: change the way of doing business and adopt all the aids to enable faster and lower risk process and product IP development that the rest of the industry has already adopted.

Now is the BoD bold enough?

Decline accelerated when BK chose to treat employees like liabilities, firing thousands of experienced engineers with poor / little thought, the dysfunctional relationship between TD and FSM, how engineers were ignored even as they were yelling for basic capabilities to do their jobs, how FSM refused to allow any engineer to reach the level of Fellow, the list goes on... Treat everyone like crap, age discrimination based firing, create non-stop organizational chaos with non-stop firing, arrogant TMG leadership that refuses to listen and is insular, and we are starting to see the results.

Under BK, the culture went to hell.

Stock is taking a hit so Intel needs to do something to keep it from a total avalanche. Layoffs would certainly along with a new strategy to deal with new technology and getting that new technology in Intel chips. TMG is pretty much on life support. Need to fire many in the current management structure along with their Deadwood buddies.

Intel culture decline came when BK let all the Qualcomm screw-ups into the company

Don't know why iCDG is still surviving. Intel already lost 10+ billion in this business.

@vkp - GF laying off because TSMC and Samsung beating their asses. Layoffs at TMG will start soon, due to the same reason.
