This is NOT true. There are cultural differences between groups. People are brought up with different values.
American culture prides people who speak truth to power. People who s--- up to other people, are looked down on. Just look at the comments on this site. Americans value people who are good at their jobs.
Asian culture is more about preservation of ego. S---ing up to people is considered correct and normal behavior. Americans consider this to be corruption. The corruption at Oracle is much worse than other large companies I have been at. I believe that is because of the large number of Asian Indians in the Oracle management.

In my experience, nepotism seems to be a Asian thing. I worked in a company with a lot of Viet Namese people, most of them cousins and siblings.
I think the hiring practice in India is based on family/caste/nepotism. That has carried on the to America and elsewhere where there's Indian.

I bet he is looking elsewhere. But the problem is, where do you go when you are the single worst person to ever work at Oracle? Where do you go when you have destroyed and entire development organization with 35,000 developers? What do you put on your resume?
He's been here a long time, that makes a huge gaping hole in his resume. I bet LE will let him stay until he leaves on his own. No real reason he can't just be fired though, he's got millions. He shouldn't need to ever work again.
