Heard some folks in specific groups got a retention package, mainly a load of rsu. Guess the rest of us aren't important enough.

I didn’t got a package or RSU retentions. But what I did got is a permission to work as often or as little as I like during cricket season. Did I say I got a permission? Oops. I am just doing that :)
Rsu not necessarily mean you are part of future. If they lay u off they lose nothing. U lose everything with rsu.
If you don’t get RSU it means you are not part of the future plans....so start looking for a new job. If you time it right maybe you can get a severance right before you start the new job. That’s what I did last month.
Remember it is just a job regardless of your education and skillset. If they don’t need you or your job can be successfully moved to India your job will be cut. It’s that simple.
It’s all about the math ($) engineers just remember that and you will be fine.

Qaulcomm's package is very cheap!
I got 4 offers this month. (prepared 1 month, interview 1 month)
All other company (start-up/big brand) pay much better than Qualcomm

yes. seems 80-100k in total for two years...
i am sure they will get the same in annual review... looks like this

80k. wtf. Even staff annual RSU is like 30-40k.

I am on the fence about taking it or not. Lots here in Raleigh are getting offers from Intel >> they are coughing up bigger bonuses and are just asking what salary you want... Wish my group was being pursued but no ☹️sounds like Intel is massively growing here... Intel obviously has deeper pockets than QCOM.
I heard GPU team got it as well and seems a lot, such as 80k plus for staff or sr staff.
