I can not wait for the announcement to come on how many are hitting the streets from Schenectady. The rumors are 130-200 and could even be 300. Which one is it? Hopefully I get the summer off and a nice new job after. That’s all GE is now is just a job not a career!

Big Stan wont be back next week, the week after is when the anouncment will come about any layoff’s, so 3rd week in July is the new target date.
Any t rate that complains about their pay and benefits should leave immediately so to save other t/d rates that dont complain and want to work. We were all told as t rates during our interview what we were in for. Please leave now and go get your better job that you've been talking about for 7 years.
I hope they shut it down and the d rates get screwed out of their pensions. On the other hand if I am there I will vote that pension that I don’t have out! Either way it’s just a job and not a career for t rates.
They are t rates they always screw something up layoff or not. You get what you pay for.

I would assume layoffs, if they come, would be during shutdown . That way those being canned would not be able to steal or screw something up..
