With the Supreme court overturning the 1977 decision to force people to join the union, I wonder if this is it for the union at GE. If I was low on the list I wouldn't be paying any dues, I will tell them to stick there dues up there arse.

@yyd You already have NO protection from the company while you're in the union. What difference, at this point, does it make? Keep your dues so you can use them to buy food after GE lays you off while 301's leaders just sit and spin.
GOOd the worst thing that ever happened was making this place a closed shop once that happened the union didn’t have to do anything to keep you in the union.

unions won't migrate to private sector unions.
In NY, if you want out of the union and its weekly dues, you can do that, but obviously have NO protection from the company when they decide to sh-- can you. Many people over the years did this, negotiated their own pay, and retired that way. Hasnt been done in the last 10+yrs in Schenectady NY.
