SO embarrassing and humbling that Chesapeake has a better plan than us. Say NO Way!
Chesapeake’s layoffs were related to the assets that were sold over the last two years. They were adjusting the size of the staff to: 1) the remaining assets, and 2) the number of rigs they are utilizing. Financially speaking they have gone from $23 billion in debt to less than $9 billion in debt. At least they have a plan what is ours? Oh yeah. We do not. I just feel the energy in the room. Not!!!!
Chesapeake recently had layoffs too. It's not a matter of if, but when they go bankrupt. Same for us at SWN w this management group.
