Qualcomm Review Process

The Q review system will always be unfair. You can't get top.marks unless you are the bosses pet... Even when The boss is not very bright. Your peer reviews don't mean squat. Everyone of my peers ranked me 5 or better except for the pet and I got a 4. After meeting all expectations and training goals also met.

What good does it do to ask for peer reviews if they just make stuff up anyway.

If you are not with in crowd in San Diego you will be out. Skills are irrelevant as the real work is done in India.

If you don’t feel included I encourage you to look for a new job otherwise you will be in the next ~2,000 to be laid off later this year.

My manager told me I will not be considered for promotion on the previous cycle despite doing excellent work. Kicked his a-- by doing even more amazing work, got accolades from higher management, and got promoted. Senior Staff Engineer/Managers are parasites s---ing blood, who deserve to be kicked out, with bamboo put in their rears.

I got messed up in promo because another dude was ahead of me and they always prepared for him every 6 months and he got promoted after 4 cycles. The reality is he did nothing for those 2 years and was a bench warmer. My manager said, I cannot get 4.0 (the old sys) until he gets out of the way. That is not meritocracy

The game played here is grading on the curve.

They decide who they WANT to promote and then they massage the numbers to make it happen.

The whole thing is a farce.
