Thread regarding TJX Cos. layoffs

Age of those laid off

What's the average age of those who were laid off in the last round? Most of the people I know who were cut are in their early forties at best, but most of them are late forties and early fifties.

This seems to me like it's bordering on if not being straight out age discrimination. Am I wrong? ANd if I am right, can something be done about it?

The age ranges from early 20s in the service desk to near retirement age. It was the entire IT department .

Most of the employes a TJX have been there for years (Decades in a lot of cases). TJX has a lot of Nepotism and many that worked there started their careers there. so their workforce was older, it's not that they targeted just the "older" ones...
