It's a shame that this company isn't being honest! Store's are telling me that they're taking over ordering and merchandising within the next few month's. I'm not a troll either. I'm just someone that wanted to pass on the information that was given to me. Good luck all!

You are correct. This has been in the works for many years. Part of the team that measured DSD vs warehouse. Did not make sense until a couple years ago. It will now begin to happen one Region at a time. Expenses are to costly and Kellogg has proven reduced expenses = profit!
Free trade. I worked at Kelloggs 18yrs .Over 90% of walmart product comes from china.You can't add 10,15,20 percent cost increases to the product walmart has on their shelves now,we live in a throw away sysiety .They have to find away to cut costs. Get rid of DSD and go direct and they will save on whatever the free trade is set at.
I agree! DSD will be ending between q2 and q3. It's leaking out to the store's now. Won't be much longer. September at the latest.
Totally agree! I guess some people are in denial about DSD ending. Grocery industry is changing. A Walmart manager told me that their philosophy has changed. No more back stock. Only order what will fit to the shelf. More deliveries he said. We're not set-up for more deliveries I explained. He said that we're going through their warehouse sometime this year It's switching over.
We won’t be working for Mondelez dsd this year, watch and see!! FACT!! Frito, coke, and Pepsi are a ways out, we are not! Frito has a completely different supply chain, zero comparison as some like to do! Pepsi has over a million in an algorithm to assist in ordering for them, until retailers would want to pay fot it they will have to wait. Soft drink segement has much higher margins and is way more profitable than cookies and crackers, notice all the displays around WM? And Frito has a huge margin just by building so much on their brand that people buy up, notice all the Frito displays? How many permanent displays are there in action alley at WM? They won’t touch those guys until they are perfect with CAO, reason WM has been testing it for so long and will continue! We are not that difficult! And imagine how nice it will be once CAO starts and their back rooms are not puking Mondelez NOS orders! No more loading!
DSD maybe slowly coming to a end but it will not happen this year for us.....still a few years out.

The one thing I found odd today was my tablet asking me if my Oreo display for the Wal-Mart retail event this weekend was built by the store, Nabisco itself or Acosta.. why would we have a outside retail company build our displays for us??

We will still be here next year. You guys need to get a life. Only store in our region that is doing CAO is Walmart starting next month. We have a conference next week on details. We are still delivering n merchandising.
