Customer Service help desks are not a profit center, they are expense centers.
Fact: for alot of companies support= revenue by firing QA sad but true
If they wanted to get rid of the help desks they would create better software that wouldn't drive constant calls from customers reporting bugs.
Of course this will result in more added value positions... nothing to fear about. Get better, develop your career and it will all be ok.
Can tell you this is a already being looked into. Idea is to eventually link it to a future AI that will be trained through our databases such as FF or RR.
Bye bye call centers? Doubt it... especially If they inplement this the Sabre way...
