The reduction occured last week and impacted SMs from select stores, in addition to few store closures. That was the extent of it. I don't anticipate us seeing other layoffs until potentially next year. The May 17th and June 1st rumors were exactly that, just rumors.

Other groups have cuts coming 5/31-6/1. Retail is just one of many areas in the company. Finance, IT, Marketing, etc all are huge departments preparing for this.
17 Stores closing or going to indirect in SCM. Yep all the worry is BS.
everyone should be planning an exit strategy. If you're not .. don't be surprised. Look at the big picture.
Don't get too confident - Verizon lays off all the time - some big, some small. It has been going on for many years...
All this Hype about May 17th was Just BS! Nothing happen today.
