Without giving out too much information I want to let you all know some facts. Our branch is about to embark on a major expansion that is going to be very costly that will take a year to complete to better help in DSD delivery. There’s also new trucks coming in every couple months, trailers too. I acknowledge and accept that DSD will go away one day, but I personally don’t thing it will happen for at least 5-10 years.

5 to 10 years?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!
More like 5 to 10 month's.
No way we'll be here for 5 more year's the way thing's are going.
My opinion we'll be done sometime in September.
That will give retailers time to get acclimated before the busy holiday season.
Thanks for the info! That seals are fate! Mondelez will be closing more warehouses down once DSD exit is complete. Yours must be staying to distribute to retailers warehouses. Just like previous post warehouse and driver's already work for a 3rd party company.
Your branch must be staying open as a hub. Like the last post said. Mondelez will still need a hub to distribute to retailers.
They're already 3rd party. 3rd party warehouse and driver's. They went 3rd party a few year's back and closed many branches across the U.S.
September sounds about right from what I've been hearing
No expansion takes a year to build. I haven't seen any new trucks either. Have been seeing alot of rentals though. Thats pretty much a tell tail sign. No sense in leasing for such a short time.
I see we got a new nabisco cheerleader on here game over I have stores telling me we are taking over ordering soon hit send on your resume
Your branch is where? A warehouse? Thought all those were already shut down and outsourced. I think your not being truthful.
Branches will still exist, they will need to deliver to warehouses across the country, like Peyton for Kroger, McClane for WM, SuperValu etc.. They are purchasing new trucks and trailers, no box trucks though! That’s very telling, as the box trucks die they are not repurchasing but instead leasing or even renting. I agree with those that believe dsd will end in September as it has been in Kroger’s plan for some time!
