Hostile takeover guy must be legacy Qwest, who did the same thing, including training material. You would think Qwest bought Centurytel, lets hope L3 does spin us all off. The new business focus is creating lack of choice and competiion for consumers, which should be monitored with mergers.

Regarding previous comment. Are you saying that the combined company wants to have a combined employee count of 30,000? That seem a bit low. Or is it only 30,000 from the Centurylink side? Where are you getting this number from?

The layoff package includes a memo that level 3 is holding a weekly conference call to cover severance packages scheduled every Wednesday until the end of the year

Target employee count y end of year 30,000 this is not over at all

Ever since the merger, it has felt like Level 3 bought CenturyLink...slowly, they (Level 3...come on, it's a hostile take over) are getting rid of all the legacy CenturyLink people. Even our trainings refer to "legacy CenturyLink"....uh guys, it's still technically called CenturyLink. Mind you, their sales people are under-performing and not hitting their numbers...but yeah, let's keep laying off all the "legacy CenturyLink" people. Makes sense....

I think the "Layoff Condition" is going to always be in effect at CTL.

If you work here you should always be "Ready". Start packing now.
