Thread regarding Education Management Corporation layoffs

change - what change?

There was such a burst of positive energy when EDMC left the picture last year but really not much has changed on our campus. Budgets still cut, no new updates on facilities, no new hires, no new programs. We are operating on such a small crew now and the campus is really quiet after years of excitement. We were the top art school in our are for decades. I never see promotions anymore for the college on TV or the web and open houses have a trickle of possible students. Where are the cuts in tuition promised to get more students in the door? If we are nonprofit, where is the money going? Older campuses need refreshed, new branding for 2019 needs to be addressed. Adding faculty and rewarding those who stuck through the rough times, salary caps and retirement accounts cut. We stayed and fought for our students. But I do not see any new thoughts or actions on our campus other then a focus on the new accreditation and talking about the nonprofit status. Our President let is slip last Christmas that the campus would have closed if Dream Center had not stepped in. Maybe it is time to let the brand go if no new ideas are coming. Disappointing after such a long struggle to keep our campus alive through the mismanaging of EDMC.

No replacements have been made in crucial areas. A president that is never around (but she still as an Executive Assistant) A completely worthless Campus Relations person that only cares about Game Arts even though there are no jobs. Please put us out of our misery and close this campus. Dream Center- you are just continuing the charade.

Hmmm all that time you stuck it thru and you don’t see the bigger picture? They stopped ad spending for your campus and you don’t get why nothing is changing? How did your campus perform prior to DCEH taking over?
