Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

So where do all the engineers need to go after layoffs? After all, the work still needs done...or does it?

Curious to know what sections they are going to sell off and how they are going to get out of all the regulations/fines?

I guess I can see them doing what Sprint did to Embarq back around 06. Take all the assets and leave "Embarq" with all the debt. I can see them taking all of the main fiber hubs and long haul fiber routes as assets and literally dumping the rest into a "new" company.

Think the new Centurylink execs are wondering if they bit off more than they can chew?

I hear layoffs in OH tomorrow...dont have a count but will post from my phone if I'm walking out the door..... :/

Engineers in PA all had email offers from the contractor before they even knew their jobs were gone. Guess the companys timing was a little off, cause nobody could figure out why they got the emails, but they figured it out real quick.
