Do we have any indication on how big were the layoffs at Staples this week?
Can we hope for a slowdown now or should we expect more in the following several weeks?
While I am certainly hoping it's the first option, something tells me that the company is far from done with layoffs just yet.
Any info would be appreciated.

I quit Staples over two years ago, I find myself once in a great while under this site just to see what’s new with Staples. I’m so happy I quit Staples, I haven’t worked a single weekend since I quit I have all this extra time with family. Don’t say that makes me sad to this day is I actually gave staples 15 years of my life. I was so disrespected so many times by all my district managers and general managers saying I was a bad assistant manager. I was so down on myself that I went through depression. I went from making a measly $20 an hour at Staples working 45 to 50 hours a week. To now working only 40 hours a week and making over $150,000 a year with amazing health insurance.

I wish I had went to my new company before I went to STAPLES...Senior Management is ten times better at the new company. I hate to say this but the Indian Management in SDS was deplorable!!! Nothing but blame and finger pointing.
Actually to the person who said it is not sunshine and ponies everywhere else. I was laid off last year. Found a job within a month and it is sunshine and ponies out there. I wish I left years earlier
50% layoff when the dust clears and good chance the final frankenstein company goes under in a few more years. Sycamore will leave many s---ers holding the bag.

Get a clue. Stop relying on the troll board to justify your decision and do what you gotta do.
Thousands were laid off and there will likely be more. Did that help you answer the question you already have the answer to?
