Very little chatter on layoffs lately, which should usually be taken as a good sign, but I'm starting to worry it's a case of calm before a storm.
Do we have any indication on when the nest round might take place? This is Sungard, so I'm sure something is coming, the only question is when.
The layoffs are still happening but on a smaller scale because they have already let close to 50% of their workforce go. They are laying off 12 or so people after every quarter end. They are starting to RIF in Pune and Costa Rica now as well so the downward slide is definitely still happening.
Well it's been odd, but I think they are so cut to the limit with staff it would be hard, but my guess is before July at any rate, it is a race to get us sold before we have to file Chapter 11... So we need to be sold soon. Once SunGardas files chapter 11 it will take some time before the process turns into a chapter 7 most likely but soon as customers here of a chapter 11they will be leaving building in droves I see chapter 11 early next year.
