Thread regarding King Soopers layoffs

Taking hours away from in-store bakers and cake decorators. Instead of baking cookies, the bakery plant is now baking them and sending them to stores prepackaged and prelabeled. Cake decorator cake cases no longer need to have any in-store designed cakes, only premade and prelabeled frozen ones sent from our plant/warehouse. Bakers and decorators now classified as clerks on schedules, meaning they can now be scheduled opening and closing clerk shifts. New waste integration program aims to make a manager's position easier and freezer more organized. Are they making it so simple because they want to get rid of department manager or assistant department manager positions?
