Tried talking with union representatives they give run around. He said once they know more they'll give notice. My friend said they were just trying to hold out and keep their job leads for themselves when shot hits the fan.. good luck it was a good run... we need to stand United.

Blame CenturylinK, management for making poor decisions. They do not know how to compete. Union has know control over layoffs. They can only help with a contract that gives targeted employees as much of a severance package as possible abdvtge ability to findotget jobs if posdible. Go old Glen was forced out due to incompetence and what dies he get? A gold plated parachute and the luxury of having steak and eggs for breakfast.
My understanding is that the company advises the local union that there will be cuts coming up. They then tell the union that they are not to tell anyone.
I don’t care what the union says. They don’t tell anyone till the last moment, unless it accidentally slips out cause a union rep is talking too much. The union will tell you towards the end. It’s unfortunate. It’s appears that both managers and the union don’t tell you the truth, or I should say they delay telling you the truth.
