Would appreciate any advice on health insurance options in AZ.
My COBRA is finally running out after being let go from HW a while back.
Not a veteran, both my wife and I need health insurance.
No job options soon.

Profess a belief in a higher power and join a medical cost sharing group (eg medi-share). Likely to be less expensive.
Go down to Mexico and come back over the fence with no I'D. Instant health care
Yep, medishare is what I use, very reliable Christian faith based sharing network. Dave Ramsey says they "do what they say"
I’ve been looking at a company called Liberty Health Care. My younger brother uses them and says they’re pretty good.
I found MediShare a little too pricey ..and with higher deductibles - plus Liberty HealthShare is open to whatever your path to God is - in which MediShare does not seem to be.
Medishare is another christian sharing organization like the Liberty Share mentioned earlier. I have used both and they are very good.
Try Liberty HealthShare - it is significantly cheaper than traditional insurance premiums ( plus lower deductibles ) and has been a real savior for me. If you'd like to check in out - here is the web address
https://www.libertyhealthshare.org or their number is 1-855-585-4237. They have a little different approach with their coverage - but I have been very happy with them.
I don’t have additional health Insurance suggestions beyond what is already given below; there really aren’t any great options in AZ. But I did want to mention that COBRA premiums are qualified health expenses for IRS purposes. If you paid for COBRA coverage out of your severance or personal savings, then you could withdraw money from your HSA as reimbursement for paying those COBRA premiums and the withdrawal will not be considered income. Just keep a good record for your COBRA payments and HSA transactions. Perhaps this will help you pay for healthcare insurance we all know is excessively expensive.
I hope you aren't so broke that you qualify for Medicaid in AZ. Otherwise, Obamacare premiums aren't too bad if you make the right amount of income. Start by finding out what insurances your doctors are "in-network" for, and then go to the government site to go through the enroll process to see what premiums and coverages are available. The site works really well now and you aren't committed to anything until the very, very end when you have all the info to make a decision. There really aren't many other options in 2018.
Starting in 2019 there may be lower cost, less comprehensive options because the ACA individual mandate goes away. If you have pre-existing conditions, however, you may be stuck with ACA and the removal of the mandate will undoubtedly send premiums skyrocketing. Of course, Trump might keep his promise and fix health care and... haha haha ha hah... just kidding. We're all screwed.
Not many Drs contract with Obamacare and the cost is very high. Call all the major carriers.
No experience with it but ... Obamacare?
