If you are not busy working on something that adds to revenue (not favorite speculative science project) you will be axed. Simple as that. There simply is not enough work due to OEM going to other tech providers. NVIDIA and Intel and Skwork is the place to be.....Qualcomm tech and attempts to innovate old tech with new derivatives is hopeless task....look at Carrera, Napali, Hana, Hathi....and so on.....nothing new and truly innovate....time to move on....
It helps to be white, older and non-H1B. All of these criteria have legal proxies.
