Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Beware, Big Brother lives! ... or maybe this posting site is run by GE (or former Execs)

Earlier today I saw a great post and now would like to know why the post related to Dodd-Frank and other banking regulations was taken down? It is clearly relevant to the current state of GE.

i'll chime in, i work on a competitor, and i frequent this site since 2014.

if you look at older posts (10 years or so) there was no GE posts on this site. it was lively on some of the boards but nothing on GE. this leads me to believe that it really this site has nothing to do with GE aside from the fact that people congregate here to b--ch about things.

if you take a look at other companies, some of them have several posts every hour, GE has maybe a few a day - i'd say GE board is busy but there are many other that are much busier.

on deletions: they happen all the time - i have not seen the post at issue but i suspect that it got political and they (mods) do not tolerate that. i remember that it got out of control during the last POTUS election and they were nuking every posts that was focusing on the elections. while this may not make sense from the freedom of speech perspective, the fact that we are all going anon here we just have to accept it - i am really surprised that they are managing to run an anon site as we all know that trolls kill every single attempt to have an anon discussion...

witht this being said i am ok with them censoring things, otherwise it'd just get nuts here. they have site rules somewhere below, use of personal names, personal info, foul language, threats, bullying, etc - all of this will get your ip banned and they also nuke all your posts which kind of s---s as many of us contribute quite a bit - again, cannot change it. my options are to leave or to accept it

hope this makes sense
