qc loses server chip design and intel loses server market in china, will this help make america great again?
Server folks in austin have not shown up for work in 2 weeks
How many will get to stay? For how long?
@jvz They're not going to sell server chips anymore, just give to HXT to make mother China happy
No company is going to buy QDT chips knowing Q is not committed. What a bunch of jerks the exec team is, idots.
Employees are not stupid. Execs are keeping QDT for all the wrong reasons,to appease China. Once Q is done with you, you will be cast aside. Time to dump Q, go to work for a good company!
It looks like upper management has finally broken their silence. If you’re in QDT, check your inbox. Hang on folks, sh-- just got real.
If they plan to keep anything, they better speak up soon. Many waited a while to move on in an attempt to stay in NC or with their group but patience is running out. People are all leaving or making plans to leave. For the last month, all meetings have been cancelled and all work put on hold. People are either not coming in to the office anymore or coming in just to print resumes and go to networking (poaching) events at the hotel next door. The printers keep running out of toner and paper from all the resume printing. Still no official update on plans from upper management. Our managers tell us it’s because no decision has been made, yet some of our managers and even our HR guy have accepted offers from other companies so we are left to draw our own conclusions.
I can confirm now what OP posted. I just talked to the cleaning lady, the gardner and trunk luch guy.
They keep it and no one left to make it successful. Sh-- show
Offers of detainment or retainment have started behind closed doors. Trying to match external offer for everyone and happying the remaining employees .. shot myself in foot. Situation
Change of plans. QDT is off the chopping block, no longer for sale.
Says the china Govt. If you need NXP, we need Server Chip. “A” was all set to buy QDT.
Says who? CA? SM? GD?
QC planned this to get rid of dead wood. Bring in new architects for new ideas. Maybe now they will do threading. All other jobs can be contracted.
China wants its own server chip badly. They are will to keep QDT to work on future server chips together.
Well since everyone that does the work has moved on, good luck.
QC changed their mind they want to keep server QDT. Management screwed up. HXT will never sell in US. Customers want Centriq!!
