For anyone STILL asking " Gosh, what's going to happen?', you' re either in denial, or an absolute buffoon!
Every department, every organization, everything, everyone, if it can be outsourced in any way, shape or form, it has been, or will be. It doesn't even have to be successfully done. As long as it can be done quickly and look good on paper to an unsuspecting buyer, it's a win! Soon, 'Xerox' will be synonymous with 'Titanic'. Anyone stupid enough to make a purchase from the ' auction', gets what they deserve.
Icahn, Deason, and Visentin have all spoken about Auction. The Board is now with Icahn. It will take a few months to complete, but it’s not a business they want to run. It’s being auctioned and likely sold in parts. Of course, keep working hard. The quarter ends in a few weeks.
While JohnV has mentioned auction, I have seen no valid info or rumors saying splitting the company up at auction is actually being considered at this time.
I have heard the same regarding patents, GIS, and parc. Sadly, haven’t heard anything regarding internal services groups. It’s really ominous. Good luck everyone.
